My 3 Big Commitments

Concrete action and proven leadership focused directly on what matters most to Ajax households.

Priority #1

Bail & Sentencing Reform

A former judicial officer, bringing that experience to the Region's table. Errol will push for toughened bail conditions and firmer judicial accountability so repeat offenders are not back on Ward 3 streets before the paperwork is filed.

Priority #2

Green Space & the Ajax Waterfront

Preserving our rich surroundings by promoting green space to manage growth, as set out in the Durham and Town of Ajax official plans - including protecting the 150-acre Ajax Waterfront Park and backing the shoreline restoration now underway so the 7 km Waterfront Trail holds against erosion.

Priority #3

Real Funding for Ajax Seniors

Seniors built this town and should not be the last line in the budget. Municipalities are eligible for the federal New Horizons for Seniors Program, and Errol will have Ajax apply every cycle to fund senior programming, social connection, and accessible community space.

About Errol Massiah

Three decades of public service. A father of four. A proud Canadian who chose Ajax and intends to fight for it.

30 Years Inside Public Service

Errol has spent 30 years in public service, including his work as a judicial officer - reading the full file, hearing both sides, and putting a decision in writing that stands up to scrutiny.

Father and Proud Canadian

Errol is a father of four and a proud Canadian. Ajax is where his family lives, and it is the only community this campaign answers to.

A Resident of Ajax for 20 Years

Errol has lived in Ajax for 20 years and watched the town roughly double around him - farmland turned into subdivisions, plaza strips replaced by Pat Bayly Square, the GO corridor turning Ajax into a commuter town. He has seen the cost of that growth too: longer commutes, strained schools and recreation, and housing his own kids' generation can no longer afford.

A Strong Vision for Ajax

An Ajax that grows without pricing out the families who built it - every tax dollar justified in public before it is collected, streets safe enough that residents stop organizing around fear, and a regional councillor they can reach directly at 416-918-7549.
